SignalsThe moon: a signal of night, a sign for hunters.  Beautiful whilst we sleep safe; a sign of death in the wilderness.  A call to the nocturnal, a message to the sandman.   
Within the night we forget what may exist, what we hope does not exist,  We deny what we see and blame our eyes.  No one knows what lies deep within the dark,  
When we are asleep, when hunters go searching and when prey run for their lives.   
The night is the adrenaline rush,  
  The rush of the hunt,      The fight to survive,        The fear of the unk Signals

Outgrown?My little blue shirt,  Oh you never meant to hurt  But you do, every time I see you there.  The hate and the lies,  All encompassed in your size  But now it's just another memory..  And oh how I love you,  But I just cannot wear  You, my little blue shirt, woven through with despair.  You framed him so well,  Now you frame my thoughts of pain  And wearing you can never be the same.   
My old faithful friend,  Your hugs used to comfort me  As I felt enveloped with your familiarity.  But now the feel on my skin can only be a memory,  And you have to stay lifele Outgrown?

The Eternal BattleHeavenly words do not pour so easily,  As we trip on stanzas,  And fumble with the dots and spacing.  Working out the way things lie,  All the rhythyms and the pacing.   
Enjambment or a sudden ceasura? Which should it  be? The eternal questions flow,  As ink from the pen- the writer's only real tool.  Mighter than the sword they say,  Why were we not informed of this at school?   
Should there be rhyme or is that outdated?  If so, then in what scheme?  The form and style: haiku or sonnet?  The decision can be tricky, what do you want?  It can be hard to put your The Eternal Battle

Hope everyone had a great holiday and got everything they wanted :)

Today I made a folder of all of my poems that I have written within about the past year and a half and some older ones that I particularly liked or had some significance to me. I've been meaning to for a while but I've finally got around to it and am planning to give it to my boyfriend who I have never let read anything I have written before. It's his birthday soon so I figured it might be a kind of present.

Anyway, because I wanted to get the folder nicely organised it inspired me to finish some poems that I realised I wrote a few lines of a while ago and never got round to finishing since I've had so much coursework, revision and just general things going on. There are four new poems up now and possibly more to follow shortly if I dig them out of the depths of the poetry folder they were banished to on my computer.
